Seasonal full-time 40 hours a week 
Pay $18 hr with compensated holidays available to full time employees
Duration for position:  May 1 - October 31, 2026
Primary Responsibilities:
Speaking and interacting with visitors. Educate visitors about the animals at the GWDC and their wild counterparts in the Great Yellowstone Ecosystem through formal programs and informal interactions. Answer related questions. Contribute to the development of educational materials as needed. Assist with administrative tasks. Enforce safety guidelines. Assist with grounds upkeep in public spaces, which includes light physical activity such as sweeping, shoveling snow, or cleaning public spaces. This position does not involve hands-on work with animals or any animal care duties.
Requirements:

  • One year of relevant job experience;
  • OR bachelor’s degree related to natural resources, environmental education, or biology
  • Experience demonstrating public speaking, education, and customer service skills
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays; must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Qualifications:
  • Experience educating diverse age groups from young children to senior adults
  • Experience in interpretation and education in a zoo setting, or around wildlife
  • Knowledge of the Yellowstone ecosystem
  • Completion of a relevant certification, such as NAI’s Certified Interpretive Guide
